Seth Swenson is the founder and lead advisor at Orchid Wealth Management — a registered investment advisor based in Palo Alto, California. He holds an MBA and has spent his career helping individuals, families, and employers make better financial decisions.
Seth founded Orchid because he believed clients deserved something different: a truly independent advisor with no conflicts of interest, no commissions, and no incentive to recommend anything other than what’s genuinely best for you.
Why Fee-Only Matters
Most financial advisors are paid through commissions — meaning they earn money when they sell you a product. This creates an inherent conflict of interest.Seth is fee-only. He earns income only from the fees clients pay directly. He never receives commissions, referral payments, or any compensation from third parties. This means every recommendation he makes is driven entirely by what’s best for you.
The Fiduciary Standard
The fiduciary standard is the highest legal duty of care in financial services. As a fiduciary, Seth is legally required to act in your best interest at all times — not just recommend “suitable” products, but the best possible options for your specific situation.
